As the cable dome coming out, due to its light-footed conformation, unique exterior, magnificent scale and lively color and so on,these aesthetic characteristics and the huge span which is achieved by cable dome make it win the favor of architects and structural engineers. In this paper, firstly,the structure forms and the structure features of the cable dome are reviewed,and out of the aims of to reduce the construction difficulty,to reduce the overall construction cost, to provide the conveniences for the structure heat preservation and future maintenance,we propose the project of rigid roof cable dome,then we contrast two kind of roofage-membrane and profiled sheet, and summarize their characteristics and merits,shortcomings,then we get a whole understanding about effect of skin diaphragms,after that we establish the model through the profiled sheet as the roofage.Except that, this paper reviews the prestressed design method about cable dome, introduces its basic principle.At the basic of it, proposes a new prestressed design method about cable dome-the method of initial disturbance, by two examples we get it feasibility and accuracy, this method plays some certain simplification role, we hope the thought of structure rigidity and initial disturbance can be used in other aspects of structure analysis.After that, we summarize the loss of prestressing force and carrie on the optimization to its prestressing force.In order to discuss the behavior of this kind of new project,we use the general finite element tool Ansys, carrie on the static and dynamic analysis contrasts to a Geiger project with rigid roof and another Geiger project without roof, inspect the differences of performance in some aspects of symmetrical load, hemihedry load,mode, earthquake resistance and so on, on the basis of it, we propose the structure expiration pattern, and get the infection to structure when we do some improvements which pave the rigid roof, then study the infections to frequency and modality through changing the size of pre-stressed, boundary condition, support and so on,we get some rules.
