There are great discharge of construction diversion, big scale and operating period of diversion buildings, vast slag accumulated in the river bed at the dam site, complex geologic setting, difficult anti seepage and narrow arrangement site of the cofferdam, and tense construction period in the Xiaowan power station. Aim at the physical circumstances during the execution of diversion work, I follow up the excavation and support of the inlet and outlet of the diversion tunnels, anchoring and shotcreting in tunnel body, reinforced concrete lining, the arrangement and structure shape of the cofferdam, optimize the design and take some innovation. During the graduate students, point at the reinforcement technology in the upstream cofferdam, cancelling the lining in the good surrounding rock in the diversion tunnels, the outlet pier structure and the bolting measure of the diversion solar foramen and mid level outlet in the dam, I optimize the design and take some innovation in favor of the engineering construction, saving the project investment and meeting the river closure demand of one year ahead of schedule. The effort of optimization and innovation has applied in the construction, and it has obtained the preferable technical economic benefit. The effort can be applied in other hydroelectric project.
