Post-Construction Settlement Controlling On Soil-like Embankment Of The East Cycle Intercity Passenger Dedicated Railway Line Of Hai-Nan

Soil-like material,came from the weathered granite,is soil or cracked rock,which inherited the anisotropy of the protolith.Its texture will be resisted unless it was not transported away.Both complete weathered or eluvium of hard rock and complete weathered,strongly weathered or eluvium of soft rock were soil-like material.Here the article mainly relied on the East Cycle Intercity Passenger Dedicated Railway Line of Hai Nan province to analyz the physical and chemical properties of the granite eluvium along the railway line,put forward the physical and chemical properties of soil-like material which obviously influenced the post-construction settlement controlling.The author mainly discussed the content,texture,mechanism properties of soil-like material,such as mineral composition,moisture content,plastic index,grading,pore characteristics,compressibility,texture and weathering degree.After that,by analyzing the settlement monitoring data,the author stated out the correlation degree between those material parameters and settlement controlling.The bigger the correlation coefficient was,the stronger the influence was.By the aid of numerical simulation software like Flac^3Dand Li-zheng,the author simulated the top 3 obvious correlate properties,and predicted the settlement on each phase.At the end of the article,the simulation was checked by the live settlement monitoring.The achievements are stated out as follow:(1)The cause,composition,physical and chemical characteristics had been expanded on:as the difference in physical,hydraulic,chemical and thermal characteristics between the soft and hard rock,the expansibility, shrinkage,heat distribution,hydraulic parameters and so on would change in a different rate,in other words,differential weathering happened in the soft and hard material.As a result,the soil-like material was formed.In turn,based on the past soil-like material definetion,respected on soil-like material's characteristics,the soil-like material definetion was sophisticated:Soil-like material,came from the weathered rock,is soil or cracked rock,which had different properties to soil or rock.Its texture will be resisted unless it was not transported away.Both complete weathered or eluvium of hard rock and complete weathered,strongly weathered or eluvium of soft rock were soil-like material.(2)Among so many indexes that influnced the post-construction settlement,the author found out eight parameters of the soil-like material by analyzing some of the past complete decomposed granite:mineral composition,moisture content,plastic index,grading,pore characteristics, compressibility,texture and weathering degree.Then the settlement among those parameters had been monitored,and the correlative degree between those parameters and the settlement had also been calculated in the article. Ordered by the correlative index,the eight parameters were moisture content, grading,composition,weathering degree,residual texture,pore characteristics, plastic index and compressibility.(3)Deformation,its essence was that the original stess field or strain field changed.The settlement of the embankment was the peocess of a new stress field formed.FLAC^3D,as the morh mechanical model,could simulate the origination of the stress field.In turn,Li-zheng was the most popular numerical simulation software for engineering.In the FLAC^3Dsimulation,the prophasic settlement of every parts of the embankment had a same tendency; while at the end,the central settlement was bigger than that of the other parts. The total settlement was 362.4mm.Li-zheng synthesized every load,and its total settlement was 329mm,the residual settlement was 54mm.Therefore,it could be concluded that moisture content,grading,mineral composition obviously influenced the post-construction settlement controlling.
