Research On The Connotation Of Humanized Design For Modern City Square

The city square is an important part of city environment, and it is the place for people to contact, to watch, to entertainment and to rest. In our country, the research on city square starts late, and lacks enough theory to instruct. During the construction of city squares, the needs of people have not been considered enough, and there are many non-humanized problems. In this kind of situation, this thesis proposed a humanization of modern city squares, which has an important practical significance. This thesis take the humanized design connotation in the city square design as the research content, study with the methods of consulting literature materials, making on-the-spot investigations and comprehensively analyzing materials. Starting from the principle of taking people as the foremost, basing on the humanized design concept and the humanization idea in the city square design, the author study deeply into the connotation of humanized design in modern city square, which including three parts: people behavioral psychology, the material environment of the city square and the culture background. Through the research on Xi'an Dayanta square and Fuzhou Wuyi square. At last the thesis gets a basic principle on how to build a harmonious, humanized city square. The author hopes it can provide reference to the humanized in city square design practice.
