This thesis studies the main function of the electric power system dynamic simulation program EUROSTAG and applies EUROSTAG in the medium and long term dynamic stability analysis of North China Grid. This thesis has completed all the work of data and model conversion. The program is coded which convert data and model from BPA into EUROSTAG. The AC date of North China Grid is established which meet all the demands in EUROSTAG stability calculation. The availability and accuracy of the conversion is proved through comparative analysis. This thesis does the research on medium and long term voltage and frequency dynamic simulation. Take Beijing Grid as an example, a typical grid fault which could lead to voltage instability is analyzed. The way of reactive power compensation and system islanding are proposed. This thesis solves the technical problems that EUROSTAG hasn't been used in system operating department. The explorations in medium and long term dynamic simulation are propitious to generalize EUROSTAG in our country.
