| With the development of electric power and the increment of market requirement, It is urgent for Watt-meter to be more precise, multi-functional and intelligent. At the same time the technique of automatic meter reading and timesharing billing make a big challenge to watt-meter. In this paper, a single-phase multifunction watt-meter is developed and an improved algorithm based on FFT arithmetic is put forward.The multifunction watt-meter introduced by this paper is composed of the power measurement chip and MCU. The power measurement chip can make a guarantee of high accuracy for metering, and by the MCU and its periphery circuits the watt-meter can achieve many functions, such as timesharing billing, power demand measurement, LCD displaying, keyboard controlling, power cutting, communication and so on. The demand of watt-meter is analyzed deeply, and the process of the design is introduced by modules from two aspects: the hardware design and the software design. The communication module of watt-meter is illustrated, including RS485 and PLC(Power Line Communication). In this paper PLC is emphasized. The multi-functional watt-meter can meet the requirement of measurement, power management, and meter reading. It has a high practical value.The arithmetic based on FFT has a universal application. This paper makes a research on improved FFT arithmetic and the arithmetic brought forward has some reference value. |
