Research On Visual Tension In Industrial Design

Tension is originally a physical term, whereas in industrial design it means visual impact or visual shock. In other words, it can attract, stimulate and shock people. Visual tension in industrial design is based upon exaggeration, focusing on individuality, and even a bit breaking regular restriction of structure, color and technical principle, in order that the product can be visually interesting, consequently the product could attract consumers, meet consumers' needs that the appearance of their product should be novel, special and individual. For form some sort of visual tension, you can start with daring imagination and creation in structure, color, material and so on. But, the more the thing exaggerates and breaks the regularity, the more the negative effect it brings in. Visual tension sometimes makes people visually tired, take stress, and it also easily goes to the extremeness of "flubdub", in addition it is hard to design and make. Then by example demonstrates the negative effect the excessive visual tension brings on. Summarize the method and means that reasonably use the visual tension. Finally author applies the above research result to practice.
