Urban spatial structure is the main direction of urban planning. Along with the economic and social development, the structure of urban space must adapt to the requirements. Huxian, as the small city surrounding area of Xi'an, its development course has to accept not only from the urban centre of Xi'an requirements, but also the distinctive inner order of its own to get a breakthrough development. At present, the city has faced new opportunities, but inappropriate urban spatial structure of the city has seriously hindered the development of breakthrough. At the same time, in the process of regional integration in the development of targeted, the city has faced the challenges of the development orientation, development approach, development mode, development goals. To explore initiatively the appropriate urban spatial structure to the goal of at this stage, we can find ways to shake off the current development of passive and blind situation of urban space development.This paper can be divided into four parts:In the first chapter, Above all by summarizing the inside and outside research production and limitation of Huxian, the author analysis the opportunities and challenges of the small and medium-sized cities around major cities.In the second chapter, the author analyses the evolution of the process urban spatial structure, the development of county towns, inner urban spatial structure, the main development elements and discusses the future of industrial structure and urban spatial structure.In the third chapter, combing with the development of Huxian, the author compares Huxian with the small and medium-sized cities which around Xi'an at different level, discuss the passiveness of Huxian ,puts forwards some Views, such as industrial restructuring. Finally, this paper seriously considers the position and character of Huxian, the idea of urban development, the direction development of urban space, analyzes the main factors which have impact on future changes in Huxian urban spatial structure, the trend of the urban development space. Base on the problems of urban spatial structure, the paper thinks the improvement ways the develope of urban spatial structure in Huxian.This dissertation agrue that the associate center of the city is the urban development goal of Huxian, the industrial structure and spatial structure in urban adjust based on this, the industry development walk should into new type industrialization road , spatial structure should base on the idea of concentration, break the mode of city in the single core, build the concentration community.
