Grid frame structure is a type of space structure consisted of steel components and joints. It is of high rigidity and can work as a whole to resist earthquake efficiently. It's light so as to save steel material and available widely to various spans and to different shaped structures.In the view of the development of space structure, the characteristic and actuality of network structure are introduced briefly. The constructing methods, techniques and keys are discussed. including upper air scattered-install method,strip and piece hoisting method,high altitude sliding method,moving support method,the whole hoisting method,the whole exalting and ascending method and so on. Those installing methods are applied successfully in most projects. According to the system of network structure in recent, the key working procedures(i.e. the joints) are introduced, specially, the constructing methods and nondestructive testing techniques of the large welded hollow spherical joints.Based construct method of Yanliang cultural centre, the paper discussed building technique on for large span steel grid-frame structure. Compared the possible methods and the technological difficulty of project is analyzed, according to character of the building, we give the construct method of "assemble one span in ground, integral multi-span, set unit integral by sliding" , and construct theory of "from middle to side " . The construct project work out accordingly. The work gives in this paper confirmed helpful to engineering.
