The design and application of long span steel truss, grid frame and the roof structure have accelerated the development of hoisting and erection technology for more than twenty years. In recent years, lifting construction technology of our country have been greatly developed from the traditional method that is lifted by machine and controlled by hand to mulli-machine lifting using the integration of machine, electricity and liquid, which resulted in the component and equipment larger and heavier, the height of erection higher and the distance of sliding longer.The paper introduces briefly the definition, material, form, application and development of large span structure. The common construction methods, technological characteristics and requirements are summarized, which includes high altitude construction in bulk, assemble, segment by segment, integral assembly, integral propping up, whole installation and sliding construction. Referring to the large span structure, the author dissertates the material, construction characteristics, manufacture, connection, application and development. The paper describes the main techniques in the integral sliding construction for large span structure, which includes jacking scheme, plan layout, assembly, transport and stacking of components, setting of sliding system, setting of track, conformation of falsework, traction facility etc.Discusses emphatically the sliding falsework, which includes the material, conformation, manufacture, welding and assembling of the shape steel tape falsework. Presents the basis content, load and condition of the design. The paper studies the integral curvilinear sliding construction for truss structure by using shape steel tube falsework for first time, which developes the technology of sliding construction. Analysis the force on the falsework by comparison to three calculation methods, referring the designing standard steel tube scaffold of buckling element , lattice column of steel frame and the computer program of SAP2000. The result provides strong guidance for practicing it. Studies the reinforce of the sliding construction, which is applied to the main structure, heavy load supporting and supporting for cavity. Puts forward a effective reinforce program. The synchro-control, automation and inspection of the sliding construction is researched as well.
