The Traffic Information Collectting Unit Based On Embedded Database SQLite

The economy development has entered into a high speed increasing period in China. The automobile quantity is increasing rapidly, which makes the traffic heavy and the roads couldn't meet the requirements of economy development. The traffic has become one of the most important problems, which is restricting the city economy development. The crossing is the bottleneck for the traffic. How to manage and evaluate the traffic status, promote the traffic ability and assure the passenger's safety, which are the city traffic key problem to be solved. In the ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems), we can know about the traffic situation by the inspection of road traffic flow information. According to the dynamic change of traffic flow, the traffic inducement control can be made rapidly, and the road crowding, the vehicle delay, the rate of traffic accident can be reduced, and the means of transportation can be taken the full advantage of.The study of traffic information collection and managing equipment is useful in the city not only for the traffic control, traffic management, traffic layout, traffic safety and road net building, but also for the realization of the future ITS. The Embedded Database System is a new data management technology, which bases on the traditional database management technology. It combines the embedded environment characteristics and makes the embedded machine data convenient and uniform managed into reality.The text pays much attention to the discussions of traffic flow information collection method, the migrating and applying method of embedded database engine of SQLite in the Windows CE.NET Operating System, and connecting database analysis design method based on UML. As the core part for intelligent traffic unit, the embedded database engine of SQLite provides the powerful function of data saving and management. The text starts with the SQLite outline. By the study of SQLite API and database interface project, design and realize the SQLite interface database of Visual C++ and eMbedded Visual C++, which is much easier to be understood and used. Later, system database is analyzed and designed from requirements to implementation using UML.
