Research On The Texture And Spatial Form Of Wu Da Dao Area In Tianjin And The Protection In Urban Renewal

In China's current large-scale urban construction and renovation process,"constructive destruction"is the biggest problem in protection of the historical conservations. Handle the relationship between "protection" and "development" is the key to solve this problem. The study focuses on urban design how to renew structure and spatial form of the historical conservation in urban renewal, to maintain the "unity" in dimension of space and the "continuous" in dimension of time.This paper focuses on the major foreign-related theory and practice -- Aldo ?Rossi's theory of civil architecture and the Typology which can be used in spatial form analysis and urban Design; Berlin IBA 84'/87'and "critical reconstruction" ideas, and the practice and experience by Shanghai on planning and control of historical conservation, hope to learn from these concepts and practices in urban renewal , which will be helpful to us in urban design and guidelines.Tianjin research focuses on Wu da dao area in original British concession. On the basis of investigation and analysis of its typical spatial form and evolution, the research on how to protect the spatial form and texture of Wu da dao area in urban renewal, in the end give the solution and suggestion on urban design methods,urban design guidelines and planning control.
