By analyzing the elevator signal system's development status and trends, this paper employs embedded systems and open industrial field bus (CAN-BUS) technology to develop Intelligent Elevator Signal System with independent intellectual property rights. The paper focuses on the design and implementation of the hardware and software platform for the elevator signal system.Aimed on the prominent characteristics of the Intelligent Elevator Signal System, this paper combines the advantages of the front-back-stage system based on the SCM control module and the superiorities of the ARM-Linux embedded system with respect to cost, performance, real-time and reliability and presents overall structure of the hardware platform, which establishes the foundation for constructing the Intelligent Elevator Signal System. In addition, the paper illustrates calling signal flow in the various components of the system taking example for the data flow diagram in the car.This paper designs the intelligent elevator's hall call and destination call controller in the struct of microcontroller (MCU) and complex programmable logic device (CPLD). Compared with software data processing of MCU, the paper analyzes the significance and effect of the hardware concurrency handling capacity of CPLD, as coprocessor of MCU, in regard to improving the real-time performance, reliability and reconfiguration of the controller.This paper presents hardware structure of fingerprint recognition module and software process of fingerprint recognition algorithm. Working process of fingerprint calling is studied in detail, and fingerprint recognition of calling system is carried out, which enriches the management and inspecting ways of modern building, thus provides more reliable guarantee for the security measures of intelligent buildings. On the basis of full investigation of the status quo of embedded multimedia technology, this paper compares the display function using LCD in the traditional elevator cars with that in the intelligent ones, and forecasts the future development trends of the elevator car controller with a bold hand, and proposes the solution to multimedia LCD Display in intelligent elevator car basing on the frame buffer (Framebuffer) technique. The paper emphasizes the design of device driver software of the industrial-class processors with 32 bits ARM920T core in the Embedded Linux operating system, and summarizes the frame buffer device driver's development steps and framework as well as kernel debugging method.In the end, Signal Testing Platform is developed using Visual C++. The work states such as the calling and moving states of hall call controller and destination call controller are verified. The platform also validates fingerprint identification, voice-induced, multimedia LCD functions of manipulating disk controller as well as CAN network communication of intelligent calling signal elevator system.
