The theory of grey system and its application in construction control of cable-stayed bridges is studied in this thesis. On the base of the practical construction control of cable-stayed bridges, indetermination factors of control points in the process of construction are investigated and conneted with grey data, then the theory of grey system is employed to deal with such uncertainty factors. The goal of this thesis is to look for a way to improve the accuracy of grey model by sufficient investigation of the original data. The original data which can not satisfy with the request of constructing grey models are converted. Through the FEM analysis of the whole of the cable-stayed bridges, the data which have errors are disallowanced and replaced by the generated data. The calculation results show that this way is feasible and practical, and the accuracy of the result which gets in this way is better than the results of other ways. In the end of the thesis the data from Sutong bridge is utilized to construct GM(1, 1)models,GM(2, 1) model, Verhulst model to predict the height of the control point of every construction stage. The method presented in the thesis carries on the exploration for the application of Grey System Theory to predict the height of the control point in construction control of cable-stayed bridges.
