With the development of computer and net technology, they play a more and more important role in many aspects of industry process. At the same time, the development of more large hydro projects makes it urgent to be equipped with more advanced and reliable control system to drive more complicated automatic facilities. Thus the modern computer monitoring of hydro plant generates.The importance of hydropower station integrated automation system is dealt with, and the existing research condition and developing trend of integrated automation system is analyzed. According to the actual situations of hydropower station, this paper selects reasonably the system structure of the station, and the system block diagram is given.Fundamental principles and main functions of SCADA system are illustrated. Automation designs of hydropower plant are also presented. Based on above sections, configuration scheme of SCADA system of JIUDIANXIA hydropower plant is proposed. Integrating the system architecture, the hardware arrangement and lectotype of system are discussed in detail.This system can be divided into remote unit and local unit. In the Local Control Unit (LCU),with the help of PLC,we achieved many assignment, such as the automatic control program,power modulation, connecting to the power network at the same term, monitoring the rotate speed of generator. The LCU can receive commands from the remote unit and run according to the given load curve or run with the optimization of the upward or backward position.Combining advanced techniques of software and network, the thesis especially elaborates collective design ideas, developing methods, basic structure, main function realization and characteristics of software running behind including DBMS, active picture generation system, and then application software system of integrated automation system is described in detail.
