The Performance Measurement System Of Relay Based On Virtual Instrument

Rela y is one of the key elements used in automa tion control system, remote control andmeasure system and communication system. It has been widely used in various fields as aviation,spaceflight, electron, communication, traffic and daily life etc. In the reign of country economy,especia lly in the stress military project of our country, rela y pla ys an important role. Whether itworks norma lly or not will influence directly to the stability and the reliability of equipments orproduct which used rela ys. The characteristic parameter which response the performa nce of rela yhas to be tested,in order to make sure the product accord with it's requirements. With thedevelopment of science and technology, various testing methods appear. In this paper, a methodbased on virtual instrument technology is introduced.In this paper, virtual instrument technology is studied theoretica lly, which involves itscharacteristics, exploitation tools, hardware and software forms and its design thought. Amongthe mea ns of forming measurement system by virtual instrument,plug-in card data acquisitionsystem based on PC is very convenience and popular. It not only has a good quality as well asexpensive instrument, it also can fulfill various measurements. Therefore this kind of dataacquisition system based on virtual instrument fits our country in measurement smoothly. In thisarticle this measurement system is selected, with plug-in card of ISA bus based on PC dataacquisition hardware environment. It is based on LabVIEW, which is developed by Nationa lInstruments Corp, and has three independent function module for testing of dynamiccharacteristic chart, make time and break time which are the ma in parameters of relay. Thesystem takes full advantage of operation, storage and displa y function of computer, and isexcellent for friend ly interface and simple operation.
