Switched reluctance motor (SRM) takes on the merits, such as simple and tightness structure, high stabilization, low cost, etc. Switched reluctance drive system (SRD) is a new drive system with high potential.Because the high inertia loads had the characteristic of high inertia, the starting and braking required long time, difficulty to change state, the characteristics of a lag, so it impacted the position fast and accuracy.SRM because of its structural features, starting current small (for other motor) and the starting torque advantage, it is more suitable for driving the high inertia load.Firstly, this thesis introduced the development of the SRD system in China and abroad and also expresses the main research aspects. Then it analyzed the configuration characteristic, the structure composing of SR motor, and the workmanner of the SRM.Then it analyzed the control strategy of SRM and presented our control strategy: five speed level control strategy .Based on TMS320LF2407A which is made by TI,the control SR motor method adopted double close loop PI digtal adjusting, send out phase on-off signal, voltage PWM signals, current chopping signal and integrated the current and voltage protection signals to drive IGBT.And then it presented the hardware design including power and position detection circuits, current detection circuit,A/D protection circuits, voltage PWM circuit etc.Meanwhile functions and design of every circuit are illuminated detailedly. Finally, the issues of EMC and debugging notices are expressed. At last, it gave out the experiment result of hardware and software debugging, and the experience of SR motor with inertia round. Depending on experience curves it analyed the waves and provided a conclusion.
