Modern urban renewal and development in the process of cities often be accompanied by the deletion of urban culture, as blindly pursuing economic benefits expense. This is the common problem of modern urban construction. As a milestone in the history of urban planning of ancient Chinese cities, researches of the ancient Yecheng City can help the process of modern urban construction and renewal for building a guiding role.The focus of the research is the urban renewal and construction of Yecheng City. It had discussed the characteristics and causes of Yecheng City urban renewal during Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties in the vision of sustainable development, and found out a clear track of the urban renewal.The introduction of Chapter one had illuminated the background, the significance, and the range of this study, and listed overall structural context and framework of the article. The second chapter from the perspective of urban ecological focus on the ancient city of geographic Ye environmental characteristics and features of the updated urban culture, and gives a necessary section of the city of Yecheng City update reasons and background research ; the third chapter discusses the remain and update of the urban planning, city model features, such as urban road system of , Yecheng City in Wei,Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties and explains the update on urban infrastructure and defense engineering technology ; the focus of Chapter IV Ye City is the building for different functions, and will analysis the process of palaces layout, landscape architecture and the residents in the square, one by one; in Chapter V, the introduction of the concept of the protection of the site, described the value and significance of the Ye City site protection and puts forward guiding principles of the city sustainable development.
