By analysis of the domestic and foreign advanced maintenance theory and the system, combining with the plant generation set maintenance work details in our country at present, this paper proposed the primarily maintenance strategy priority to generalized condition maintenance, and the relationship of the equipment performance, the maintenance efficiency and the maintenance decision-making has also been considered. Value engineering analysis method has been introduced to design the maintenance decision-making process of the plant set , and to research equipment state analysis, maintenance cost analysis, maintenance decision-making and optimization technology in the process. According to the condition appraisal result, the maintenance strategy decision is made and the solution process of maintenance expense modeling is produced in view of each maintenance strategy, to obtain the most superior plant set maintenance plan by using the value analysis model. Reducing the electricity generation cost through the optimized maintenance, to enhance the thermoelectricity generation unit the market competition strength, enable the generating set maintenance to have the goal and the high efficiency.
