Reliability Assessment Of Distribution Networks Using GO Method

Base on the comprehensive reading of references about distribution system reliability, the paper compares several reliability evaluation methods and introduces a method which is Goal Oriented method into the reliability assessment of distribution networks. The basic concept and principle of GO method are introduced in detail, and then the method is compared with FTA method.According to the method characteristic, a GO model of radial network is built. A relevant flow chart and process are written out. Using MATLAB, the paper calculates reliability indexes on five different modes of representative radial network. then the reliability assessment method of complex radial distribution network with branches is developed, and the reasons that the complexity of the model would not increase along with the system scale are demonstrated. Finally, the paper chooses RBTS Bus6 as studying system to show valid and applied.
