| In order to get more knowledge of the propagation and attenuation characteristics of theUHF signals in GIS, to economize the UHF sensors in GIS station, this paper use experimentaland emulationalmethodtoanalyzethepropagation characteristicsof the UHFsignalsin GIS.First of all, the XFDTD software is used to model straight cavity, Tshape corner, insulator,line breaker, In this way, the general rules of the UHF signals'propagation and attenuationcharacteristics are got that the UHF signals attenuate 1.5dB every meter in straight cavity,2.15dB after an insulator and 1.78dB after a Tshape corner. The experiment in lab validates thecorrection of the emulation and the general rules. The experiment in TAIKAI factory on 110kVGIS shows that the UHF signals attenuate 7.72dB after a breaker; the results of experiment andemulation are corresponding to each, one or two results weren't fit each other, so the modelshould be built more particularity. To install 7 UHF sensors on the 110kV GIS of TAIKAIfactory may fulfil the sensitivity and economy double requests of online monitoring. Thecalculation error of the XFDTD software is absolutely satisfied with the engineeringrequirement,sothat itcan beusedonthe emualateofthe field-work GIS. |
