The advantages of multibarrel volleyed weapons are more and more outstanding in modern battles, they can volley many bullets at a high firing rate and then the three-dimensional array of bullets is formed in the space. The features of spatial distribution of the three-dimensional array of bullets and the time when bullets through the effective hit region determine the capacity of protection and hit of weapons, which is the most key performance indicator to evaluate the system of multibarrel volleyed weapons. However the test method about the spatial distribution of bullet array is rather laggard at present, so it is very significative to study the test technology of spatial distribution of the three-dimensional array of bullets about multibarrel volleyed weapons.According to the shortcomings of cloth target that the target is disposable and its efficiency is low, the non-contact photoelectric detection method to test the distribution of the bullet array by laser grating screen is presented in this paper. Many semiconductor lasers and photodiodes are used to form the horizontal and vertical overlapping detection circuits in the test system, then the laser grating screen is formed by setting the spacing between laser beams reasonably. When the bullet through the screen, it will obstruct the corresponding laser beams and the luminous flux of photodiode is changed, so from this the coordinates when bullet through the screen are obtained. The changed luminous flux is controlled by multiplexer circuit through photoelectric conversion and signal conditioning, then is imported into the acquisition card. Signal is collected into computer by acquisition card and processed by software. Then, the designs of laser grating screen and the software of test system are introduced in detail. Finally, features of OpenGL and the method to simulate the spatial distribution of the three-dimensional array of bullets are introduced, and the simulation results are also presented. The feasibility of this test project is validated via the simulation results.The test method presented in the paper not only can achieve the test of the distribution of bullet, but also can achieve the tests of the bullet intensity in the spread of bullet and the velocities of many bullets. It can carry out repeatable tests and has high feasibility.
