Research On The Miao Decorative Arts In Interior Design

The Miao full of legend has a long history. They created a unique culture. In particular the Miao decoration is rich in content, profound cultural background. The Miao traditional decoration art gem of modern design for us, not only is the context which can be tapped, more importantly, it is our civilized development in ethnic minority areas of the arts that is our modern interior design component. Continuation of traditional decorative arts is to respect for the tradition, to find the unique and right direction for the modern design development.Xiangxi region in Western Hunan,is one the Miao gathered places. Our study on the Miao decorative arts in the area is of great importance for the whole Miao arts. This paper, based on the regional environment in Xiangxi background, deeply studies on the regional environment in Xiangxi decorative effects and people's ideology;from architectural decoration, sculpture, materials, furnishings,and other aspects of the development of modern interior design trends, carries out and analyses;how to properly introduce the Miao decorative elements in interior design for the purpose, makes the Miao decorative culture of Xiangxi in the new historical period healthy and sustainable development.This article analyses three typical interior design cases. Through the practical application of decorative elements in the Miao of Western Hunan, it summarizes the characters about the Miao decorative arts, and faces the "bottleneck" problems in modern interior design.Through a large number of pictures and the practice survey,the paper sums up the characteristics of the Miao furniture and the color, which lay the foundation for the future research. Of course,it is also a gratifying results. Based on the artistry and culture of the Miao decoration,the author makes recommendations to the development of the Miao decorative arts.
