GuWa Hydroelectric Power Station, location at xiangcheng county of Ganzi autonomous prefecture in Sichuan province, Its dam height is about 150m, reservoir storage is about 2.809×108 m3, equipped capacitor is 220MW.High Slope of GuWa Hydropower Station was discussed in this paper., It analysis the mechanism of deformation on the base of inside investigation of geoengingeering conditions and signs of deformation and failure, Afterwards, stress-strain and stability of slope were comprehensively studied with the geology analyze, the limit equilibrium method and finite element, and put forward the processing measure to losing the slope with difference zones. At last, Through field investigation, confirm the position,the scale of dangerous rock in slope and the harmfulness to project, then analysis the instability mode of dangerous rock and appraise the stability about it, put forward the processing measure finally. The key contents and conclusions are as follows:1. Through field investigation, Preliminary study on High slope's structure characteristics are comprehended at Damsite Region , The researching consists of the geological classification of discontinuity, the investigation of different discontinuity, especially the high-angle dip discontinuity is done. At last, the mode of rock mass structure is established.2. Based on the failure traces of slope, considering the characteristic of rock mass structure, the mechanism of deformation and the mode of deformation is analyzed,3. Using the FLAC,the geology analyze and the Limiting Equilibrium Methods, a more comprehensive analysis was carried out to this slope's stress-strain and stability during field investigation period. Then it commented the reasons that caused the deformation and failure from the view of the mechanism and internal origin. So this provided comprehensive and objectively estimation for the stability of the naturally slope and engineering slope in the dam area.4. Combine with the result of stability evaluation, the support measure is advised pertinency in order to meet the zones of diffrernce engineering, Taking water interception and drainage as a basic method on the whole, load reducing and anchoring as a major means, strengthening the weak and soft zone and setting protective structure as an assistant. On the basis, putting forward the optimization design with difference zones.5. Combine the study on stability of bedding rock slope, confirm the position,the scale of dangerous rock in slope and the harmfulness to project, according to the deformation and failure, the mechanism of deformation and failure is analyzed, then using the Discontinuous deformation analysis (DDA) method, to simulate the deformation and movement tendency of the dangerous rocks, and by the quantitative analysis method, the stability of the dangerous rocks are calculated and analyzed . at last, Control measure with blasting method,anchoring shotcrete with wire mesh,protection engineering and monitoring intensively are proposed, according to difference position of the characteristics of dangerous rock. In addition, control blasting by proper blasting method requiredd attention during the peroid of construction.
