Based on the discuss of the geologic environment of the spillway slope, utilize systematic field geology investigation, statistics and classified principle to analyse rock structure. Finit element method have been adopted to further study stress field and rockmass deformation repture characteristic. Based on study above, apply the maximum equilibrium method and the block theory to analyse and evaluate the man-made slope stability. At last, the remedy measures has been presented. The main achievement has been obtained as follows in the paper:(1) Most of class No. I and II structure plane of the slope is steep dip and is more steep than the man-made slope, class No. I and II structure plane do not compose latent local unstable block.(2) The spillway slope macrostability is high relatively. The Slope rock mass quality classification is class No. II and III. As a whole, the rock mass of the has high stength and fair quality, so it can be utilized more.(3) By FEM analysis, it is known that after the high slope is excavated, the rebounding displacement of rock mass is low. The continuous plastic zone is coming in the man-made slope.(4) By maximum equilibrium analysis, F1, F35, F3 fault crush in the man 梞ade slope is in maximum equilibrium condition under natural load case, under rain or earthquake load case, it will be destroyed. The local block of man-made is stable.
