The paper used exergy method to study up on the economy of the thermal system in 300MW power plant as the decrease of its load, the entire thermal system and its subsystems exergy loss mathematical model were educed. After careful calculation the entire thermal system and its subsystems exergy loss rules are found as the lower load and the weak links in the system, making a number of operational measures. The exergy loss generic matrix equation of turbine thermal system were educed through taking homemade 300MW units as an example. The paper used matlab to calculate the exergy loss of steam turbine thermal system in Xuan Wei power plant, the entire thermal system and its subsystems exergy loss rules are found as the lower load. Because of the exergy loss coefficient of the boiler and steam turbine are too much and more of the malfunctions of heaters, the paper proposed corresponding measures. The security and economic performance were laid for the power plant through this research and analysis.
