Warm mix asphalt is a green road technique,it can make less construct cost, benefit environmental protection and better road performance , having wide development space.Local researches about warm mix asphalt mainly contain three technologies, viscosity-reducer warm mix technique,organic viscosity-reducer warm mix technique and emulsified asphalt warm mix technique.Their objectives are to reduce production temperature and green house emission,similarly to cold mix asphalt,but being of performance of HMA.This paper make great effort in understanding these technologies. This paper studied viscosity-reducer warm mix technique,organic viscosity-reducer warm mix technique,containing five additves, Sasobit wax, PE wax, natural zeolite, synthetic zeolite, and silica gel self indicator. It also stated working mechanism,and contrast binder performances , impacted factor. This research has already make use of experiments device for hot mix asphalt , put forth effort in experimenting methods.Without changing these asphalt equipments,we can produce warm mix indoors,found a set of valid method about preparing and verifying WMA,found improvement for warm mix asphalt.In conclusion, mixing and shaping temperture have great influence on WMA performance.Aging have also influence on performance.This thesis rely on the original material of western region,in the lab, studying WMA.The research results of this topic will contribute to development of warm mix asphalt technique in the local and have a good reference value.
