Study On The Theories And Methods Of Highway Tunnel's Traffic Safety Forewarning

In recent years, with China's rapid development of road transportation, the highway classification enhanced unceasingly, the mileage of road in use climbed by years, which pulling highway construction become the pillar industry in national economic growth and promote the development of local economic. In the mountains and hilly region and even in the highway construction which will cross river, the tunnel obtains the universal application, because it can reduce journey mileage ,improve linear standards, safeguard operation security, protect ecological environment, and so on. The construction is becoming longer and longer, the scale is also getting bigger. Since a large number of tunnels are used for delivery, which make a significant contribution to the national economy. At the same time, the issue of tunnel operation safety has become increasingly prominent, and the frequencies of traffic accidents have caused great loss on life and property of community and individuals. How to effectively prevent the occurrence of accidents on highway tunnel has become the subject of widespread concern.This paper is the sub-topic of the science and technology projects of western construction which is named as"Research on Intelligent Linkage Control technology of Highway tunnel"assumed by CHONGQING COMMUNICATIONS RESEARCH & DESIGN INSTITUTE. The subject is based on Lüjialiang and Fangdoushan tunnel, The purpose of the study is to reveal the causes of highway tunnel accident to adopt effective measures to prevent the occurrence of accidents, and provide feasible theory and measures to guide the road and tunnel safety management.Theoretically, first, the Research results analyze the causes of traffic accidents on highway tunnel; Second, the research results established the forewarning model of rear-end collision avoidance against Highway tunnel, in accordance with the state of movement in the process of automotive braking and taking into account of domestic and international automotive collision avoidance model and many early research results; Third, the warning management theory will be applied to highway tunnel traffic management, which probes preliminary study into research on framework of tunnel safety forewarning system.In the methods, it firstly uses the practical scene research which relies on the project to learn about the highway tunnel operation and traffic safety. Secondly, through the design and application of the major forewarning indicators'index on tunnel traffic accidents, and on the support projects to achieve the effective avoidance of bumping in tunnel. This paper will point out the research direction in the future.
