China stepped into aging society in 2002. The high speed of increasing will bring different effects to every aspects of the society, especially given that the basic of the economy is still weak. Housing the aged will be one of the problems. It is necessary to find out the proper solution soon. This study is in the current that the elderly living environment is not suitable to the old persons desire. It is urgent to upgrade the old residential and community environment in order to meet elderly special needs because of the family structure and the physiological and psychological changes. I do some basic research on the living condition of the elderly under the pattern of the aging environment in order to provide the basic basis for the elderly living environment.The object of this research is the interaction between the daily of the elderly and the community environment, choosing Shang Hai S community as a typical case, employing structured field observation and in-depth interviews of the elderly to know the environment of S community the interaction between their daily life, intercourse and environment, desires for the aged lives, community activities, community facilities, home living environment and the external environment. After some discussion on the findings, for the inadequate of the community, a few suggestions are made both on the material and the social side of community construction by the end of the research paper . In the community environment, social community service, the diversification of investment and management is the feasible solution to the current problems. The solution of the living environment is that environment must be transformed. According to the object of transformation can be divided into family-transformation and social transformation.
