Active Magnetic Bearing (AMB) is a kind of electromechanical system,which integrates much technology such as mechanics, electronics, and cybernetics,sensor technology,materials science and so on.Acorrding to the principle of AMB, the dissertation deduces and illustrates the structural designing method, the selection of materials, the details of designing process and related designing problems of radial and axial AMB after narrating the overall structure of electric rotor of AMB. And a new method to design the structure of AMB is provided. With this method, the coupling relations between the structural parameters and electric parameters in the AMB can be decreased greatly, which makes the structural parameters are easy to meet the requirements of electric parameters.Besides,based on the study of the SDOF AMB system in detail, the author establishs the simplified mathematical model,and the model of control system of the AMB with classical control theory.Using the control state-space method of modern control theory, the author sets up the rotor's state-space model of control system. With the help of MATLAB and its toolbox Simulink, a dynamic simulation model has been established.
