The Design And Implementation Of Multifunctional Vehicle Information Terminal Of GPS/GPRS

Vehicle Location and Monitoring System based on GPS combines GPS technology, computer science and technology,digital wireless communications technology and electronics technology,and it receives and records GPS data of the vehicle.It also combines GSM/GPRS wireless network technology to exchange data of mobile vehicles and control center and track and monitor the vehicles using its data transmission functions.The terminal of this system is an open vehicle monitoring platform set in many kinds of high-tech.It can provide the trans regional implementation of monitoring, emergency rescue,and a variety of information services to a large number of moving targets.Based on the study of GSM/GPRS,the research works from special practicality and provides a set of automobile's GPS terminal system.This paper mainly introduces the design of software and hardware.The paper analyzes the correspondence of terminal system and the control center and gives the correspondence rules.It also introduces two display modes,LCD and Graph Matrix Display.The solution for new kind of automobile's terminal system based GPS is provided.This system uses TI Company's msp430f149 as CPU.Provided with related outer electric circuit,this system has LCD,which can show the character and graphics.The Graph Matrix Display Screen of the system can display real time information of the vehicle for passenger.The MCU and the GPS receiver connect with each other through a serial interface.After receiving GPS data,the MCU filters,processes and storages it. MCU can draw up a communication protocol by connecting with GSM/GPRS handset modules which uses TCP/IP protocol through a serial interface.The system uses GSM /GPRS handset modules to communicate with the control center.It also has the functions of upgrading and maintaining system,and changing parameters by using a scalable virtual serail port...
