The paper summarizes systematically the existing state of the structure of slide plate of turnout at home and abroad, improves and optimizes the structure of slide plate of speed-up turnout against the existing problems of slide plate of speed-up turnout such as failure tightening force, cracks in spring shim and pin, large surface resistance of slide bed-plate, difficulty in gauge adjusting and so on. It also introduces the structure characteristics of two types of spring fastenings such as spring shim with wedge adjustment and independent double spring bar, the structure characteristics of antifriction roller device of three types of roller plate, the structure characteristics of compound buffer eccentric adjusting sleeves used for gauge adjusting, Trial production has been made on spring fastenings with wedge adjustment and on compound buffer eccentric sleeves for slide plate adjusting gauge.During the design of spring fastening system of improved slide plate of speed-up turnout, new-type spring shim is inspected and calculated by finite element analysis software, is optimized in the structural design, thus upgrade the design theory and shorten the design cycle and design cost.The improved slide plate used for speed-up turnout can on one hand provide endure, reliable and constant tightening of inside of stock rail and, on the other hand, can flexibly match the gauge adjusting of stock rail. Besides, roller plate can reduce the switching resistance and the deficient displacement of tongue rail so as to realize the reliable switching. The successful research on optimum structure of slide plate of speed-up turnout has resolved the main existing structural defects of slide plate, thus met the application requirements of slide plate caused by rapid development of railway.
