Motor noise reflects the manufacturing process and technical level.It is an important parameter of motor. The disqualification of the noise leads directly to the product returns, not only brings huge economic losses to the manufacturers, but also damages the credibility of the manufacturers. The On-line Detection of the noise is still a problem for Motor factories, being gradually concerned by people, and becoming a research hot.The purpose of the study is to design a set of on-line detection system for motor noise which use the TI's DSP TMS320VC5402 chip as the core processor, the main function is to complete the motor vibration signal acquisition and processing to obtain the sound power level of motor noise and preliminarily judge motor noise source.This paper introduced the mechanism of the motor noise generated. Compared the current methods of motor noise measurement and chose the vibration measurement method finally. The calculation of sound power level for motor noise is derived. And the Fast Fourier Transform theory is also introduced. The paper Highlight the development process of the system using TMS320VC5402 as the core, including hardware circuit design and software implementation for signal acquisition module,signal analysis and processing module,data Communication module and others. Relevant experiments had been done after the system is established, and the experimental data obtained a simple were calculated and simply analysed.
