Research On A Method Of Public Transit Network Planning Of Beijing

Urban public transit is the harbinger of social production, the key of a city function to operate and an important window of the material civilization and spiritual civilization of a city. Public transit network planning is the core of the public transit system planning. The rational of urban public transit network is an important part of urban public transit planning, and it has great significance to solve the current traffic congestion problems. This paper makes some deep studies in the thought of the public transit network planning, and proposes a layered thought with the consideration of urban space shape is brought forward. This thought can be summarized as "adjusting measures to local conditions, layered planning, early primary late secondary, early broad late minute", and this paper studies as follows: first, research the method of the OD passenger traffic volume forecasting which is the basic of public transit network planning; second, research the method of public transit planning, including the rapid public transit network planning, light rail transit network planning, conventional public transit network planning; final, summing up the innovations and inadequacies of this paper.
