The Study On Application Of Light Laser Weapons For Modern Anti-terrorism Combat

With the emerging of new features in the international terrorist activities, some high-tech measures have been used in the terrorist activities, which urge us to take some corresponding actions against terrorists. Therefore, there is a new topic on how to grasp this technology of directed energy weapon especially light laser weapon, and apply to the modern anti-terrorism.This paper analyses systematically the present condition of light laser weapon and its destructive mechanism in combat, as well as its function in the future war. At the same time, this paper focuses on the application of light laser weapon in modern anti-terrorist activities, which instructs the anti-terrorist activities and also offers the theoretical basis for the high-tech anti-terrorist activities.This paper mainly includes four parts. The first part gives a brief analysis on modern anti-terrorism, studies new characteristics of terrorism, and analyses the challenges and puts forward the countermeasures in anti-terrorism. And the development and present condition of light laser weapon, particularly its historical development and classification are introduced in the second part. The third part mainly explains the mechanism of light laser weapon and offers some measures against terrorism. The last one but the most important one elaborates the application of light laser weapon, especially introduces the application of American light laser weapon, probes its application in our military action and briefly analyses its tactical uses in anti-terrorist activities.
