Abstract/Summary:
Owing to unfavourable circumstance, structure aging, vehicle weight increasing and lack of maintaining, there exist inevitably structural defects in some existing bridges. Thus the reliability assessment and strengthening technologies for existing bridges is becoming more and more important. The reasonable assessment and strengthening scheme can save a lot of investment,and at the same time the most effective scheme can be obtained.The bridge construction control is an essential measure and step to ensure that the quality and safety are obtained during bridge construction, also to ensure that the final structural state is in agreement with what the designer requires.Chaobai River Bridge is a concrete-filled steel tubular arch bridge with a long span in China. The construction sequence of that bridge is very complex and the construction skill required is in much high level. Therefore, the construction monitoring is very important to guarantee construction safe and make internal force and figure meet design requirements.Chaobai River Bridge's construction monitoring includes the following work:1)This article introduces the history, importance and developing tendency of bridge construction controlling, expounds the main content, principles, methods and the influencing factors of construction control, and puts forwards a construction monitor means corresponding to construction characteristics of concrete filled steel tube arch bridges. Through our year's research and practical exercises, either thought that comparing with other strengthening means or rebuilding bridge, its strongpoint is outstanding: reinforcement effect good; and the cost saved, approved economizing large funds; the construction convenient, strengthening time short.2)This paper focus on the objective function of optimization and FE model updating. A kind of method which utilize static characters from ambient vibration testing and static testing, was proposed and used to update the real bridge FE models. 3)Make use of modal analyses of the tower and design the optimal sensor placement of the bridge.4)Analyze the key steps of the reinforcing construction.
