With the rapidly development of transportation business in the last ten years,the construction of long span steel bridge is very quickly.A great many of long span steel bridges have been built one after another and putted into use.The steel structure bridge has the advantages of thinner plank,smaller permanent load,so it is adopted extensively in long span bridge and when it is difficult to build.The technique of pavement on steel bridge deck,especially on the long span orthotropic steel bridge deck, is a difficult problem and a hot topic in the world.The bridge deck paves on the orthotropic steel bridge deck directly,with the effect of drive load,wind load,temperature varying and earthquake,it is complex to compare with road pavement or airport pavement in the aspects of mechanical property and deformation property.As a result,it has a higher requirement in the intensity character,deformation stability,fatigue durability.According to the above-mentioned background,the thesis developed independently a new kind of material,named Epoxy resin concrete,and tested all aspects functions in order to testify that it's feasible to use it as ultrathin surface on the pavement of steel bridge deck.Firstly,basing on NO.1 glue,we have invented a new glue,named NO.24 glue,by regulating the curing time and reducing the cost,which is suitable to mix Epoxy resin concrete.Then,tested the glue's performance,including density,tension shear strength, bending deformability,ultraviolet aging and so on.Secondly,NO.24 glue was used to design Epoxy resin concrete as a binder.When doing proportion design,special demands for pavement material such as bending deformability and fatigue property must to be considered sufficiently.Carried out tests to detect the designed Epoxy resin concrete, including compression strength experiment, freezing and thawing split test,rutting experiment,bending experiment and fatigue experiment,and then compared with the Asphalt concrete,cement concrete.The results show that Epoxy resin concrete has better water-stability and anti-rutting under high temperature compared with Asphalt concrete,it has better bending deformability and fatigue property compared with cement concrete.The fatigue equation of Epoxy resin concrete was regressed by fatigue experiment which was controlled in strain.The fatigue equation could be used for fatigue life prediction.Lastly,this kind of material's special construction technology procedure had been ascertained by the studying of Epoxy resin concrete's construction technology.
