Abstract Art To Landscape Architecture

This paper is based on theoretical study. The paper discusses the theory and characteristics of Abstract Art which have an important impact on the modern landscape architecture design in the early 20th century. There is an analysis in the concept and visual language of abstract art in a certain depth. Then, analyzed the impact on the Western modern landscape architecture design from the concept and visual language of Abstract Art ,and so as the form of Abstract Art which can found in the Chinese Classical Gardens.This paper introduces the birth of the study, the ambit of the study, The aim of the study and the construction of the study, analyzes the theory and interpretation of Kandinsky's warm Abstract Art and Mongolia's cool Abstract Art. Then,discusses the impact on the Western modern landscape architecture design from Abstract Art, and analyzes the reflect the characteristics of abstract art in Chinese classical gardens, in order to looking for the fit points of the landscape architecture design between China and West which are in different times and different area. At the end of the paper, sums up the same essence in the landscape architecture of China and West, to make the design can follow the core of tradition and make a widening development.
