With the super-development of the city construction, especially in metropolis and mid-city, the depth of underground structure is more and more larger for the exploitation of the underground space, the appearance of 3~4 underground storey is very common. Some subsidence plazas and underground garages belong to the pure underground structure, so they should check the computations of the anti-floating. However, we don't regulate the problem about how to accomplish the anti-floating design for the underground structure in our codes, just make some qualitative analysis on the buoyancy. It is common to encounter the flotage of the underground structure. So how to achieve correctly the anti-floating design is our first attentive issue.With the example of the large floor-area flotage of one complete embedding garage, the paper establishes the finite element model to simulate the actual flotative situation of the embedding garage, finds out the reason of the floor area flotage—the number of the distributed steel in the top of the tension piles can't meet the demand of design, result in the connection between the top of the tension pile and the platform on the pile loses function. and then, the paper brings forward the reasonable retrofitting scheme to the tension piles and other breakage structure members.Finally, the paper has a brief summary, and makes a further discussion about how to achieve anti-floating design on the underground structure.
