Many electric locomotives are used by rail transportation and as a rail transport system power plant.Therefore, it is the core of the railway system. At present, with the social development and industrial progress. Railway's contribution to the community is growing. The constructing china's rail system is high-speed developing.However, the development of the railway will also bring tremendous energy consumption. Most of the rail systems are using electricity, the internal combustion engine is use of the locomotive which uses diesel power to provide electrical power.Nowadays, energy-saving becomes the subject of the society developing and technology progressing. Our work takes the "AC motor vehicles" of Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Research Institute as the background. The main aim of the work is that meets today's society and the good performance of the energy-saving tram AC motor.Through the electric locomotive comparation and analysis to energy-saving programme, the ultimate establishment uses transformer boost the energy conservation programmes. It used three-phase inverter circuit, three-phase full-controlled rectifier circuit, RC harmonic oscillator, and other equipments that ultimately achieves feedback energy. A three-phase full control rectifier circuit can make three-phase AC have not much loss to change DC electricity. The RC harmonic oscillator provide the control voltage to MOS, because RC harmonic oscillator bring a square wave, add the comparator and reverse the effect, it can make two square-wave voltage pulse of alternating positive and negative. We use the voltage step-up transformer to make feedback voltage higher than the voltage power so that can return current to electric net.In this paper, to energy-saving electric locomotive system, physical model, mathematical model,and its composition of the energy-saving principle do a detailed analysis and simulation. The impact energy-saving of several major facts: frequency and duty cycle of RC harmonic oscillator and the zoned rate of motor respectively do a test in the test-bed, to results do comprehensive simulation and analysis, and make use of different ways to achieve energy saving. To the composition of reactor L1, L2, and a filter capacitor do detailed analysis and annotations. Determine their impact on the energy saving effect. In this paper, electrical braking energy repay only do the quantitative analysis on the theory, it needs continue further study.To further verify electric locomotive practical effectiveness of energy-saving system and achieve better energy-saving effect on the basis of energy saving system of modeling and simulation. Firstly, we study the frequency and duty cycle with transformer loss. In the experimental equipment is not damaged condition, through modulating the frequency and duty cycle of RC oscillator, measures transformation rate and transformer loss, gets better data. Then whole transformer connects in the system, and once again by changing the frequency, duty cycle and slip rate S, measures the energy saving effect. To find the best energy saving effect. We would also simulate the various data. And take experimental and simulation results to be compared. Finally, we can find that the experimental data consistents with simulation results. At the same time, also analyse and explain phenomena that appeared in the process of experimention.In the practice, we did not deduct the impact of electric net to energy saving, get the result is about 20%. if we deduct these effects and the necessary loss that can roughly estimate to get the effect of energy saving is between 5% and 10%.The energy-saving system is mainly applicable to high power systems. Although the system can also be used by the small power system, if it is the low power system, the fourth project is more suitable. Because it can achieve the better energy-saving effect.
