| With the sustained, healthy and rapid development, the pace of cars accessing to family constantly speed up. According to statistics, over the past 20 years the average growth rate of the total number of city vehicles is as high as 15 percent, almost double the average of every five years. Private cars enter urban families in increasingly accelerating trend. China's cities of motor vehicles in the future longer period of time will enter a period of high-speed development. From the angle of static traffic, the rapid growth of motor vehicles has brought strong pressure on the demand for parking. As a social vehicle parking places, City public parking facilities are under unprecedented pressure.The old city regions of Guangzhou, as political economic and cultural centre of the whole city, vehicular access frequently, traffic flow, networks complexly and densely populated, so there often cause traffic jam. People entering the old city regions to work, shopping or sightseeing are often unable to find suitable because of the number of parking spaces which make them worries state. They have to turn to several parking circles. This shows that the old city regions of Guangzhou parking has been a very difficult problem highlighted. As a city planning worker, I deeply appreciate the public parking facilities in the planning is an important component of the urban planning. Building high-level of service parking facilities is very helpful to promote the city centre area of sustainable development, reduce traffic congestion and enhance safety and Accessibility. But the government's regulations and policies on planning meet a greater impact.According to the relevant theoretical approaches, this paper address the issue above and predict parking problem present and future development needs of the old city regions of Guangzhou. Reference on the basis of parking in the light of international issues successful experiences, I give the parking strategy and planning program of the old city regions of Guangzhou. I focus on policy responses, how to adopt laws and regulations, management, and the price mechanism to guarantee the implementation of the program planning. |
