Studies On The Traditional Chinese Ideal Human Settlement Based On The Theory Of Sustainable Development

Following the rapid process of urbanization in China, intricate crises arise in the field of habitat environment. At the same time, the simple philosophy and practice emphasizing the harmony between human being and nature, which roots in the traditional Chinese habitat environment, has caused wide public concern. As a part of study on theory of sustainable development, this research mainly examines the theory of sustainable development with the traditional ideal of habitat environment.The thesis is organized into three parts: in the first part, through analysis of the ideal of habitat environment in the traditional culture, the central issues of the study -natural ecology and morphological ecology - are proposed; in the second part, through the theory of sustainable development and ecology, the typical cased in traditional habitat are evaluated from different standpoints, and sustainable development strategies of the traditional habitat environment in the aspects of natural ecology and morphological ecology are recapitulated; in the third part, with cases of the experimental practices nowadays in habitat environment, the possibility of the representation and development of the spirit in the traditional ideal habitat environment are finally presented.The above framework of study, provides not only the spirit of sustainable development in the traditional ideal habitat environment, but also in a contemporary sense, shows references for solving the problems in the construction of habitat environment of China at the present time.
