Conveyor belt is one of the important continuous transportation equipment in bulk, Blast furnace belt conveyor is used to transport the mixed and weighed up material to top furnace Blast Furnace's cubage will become biger and biger with the smelt technic growing,and Blast furnace belt conveyor is demanded more reliable. The belts and pulleys are main components of the conveyor belts; their service life is seriously affecting normal operation of the conveyor belt;. their model and size is seriously affecting the cost of the conveyor. In order to make the pulleys light-weight, high-intensity, reliable, we shall apply the finite element method to calculation and analysis in the pulleys. It will have the vital significance in enhancing the overall design level.This paper In addition, taking transportation-to-top-furnace conveyor belt equipment in Taigang Group 3# Blast Furnace rebuilding project as example, this paper calculates and analyses conveyor pulleys with the finite element method about stiffness and intensity applying the software ANSYS, and gets the law of strain distributes and deformation; Meantime this paper finds the maximal strain and deformation point, this will offer certain reference value with reasonable design of conveyor pulleys; in addition, this paper dynamically calculates and analyses conveyor pulleys applying the software ANSYS/LS-DYNA, and gets the law of strain distributes and deformation; and obtains the factors of dynamical drums, those conclusions above will provide theoretic foundation for the configuration optimized design of conveyor pulleys .
