As one of the important equipment of bulk material transportion in the modern society, The Belt conveyor are developing towards the direction of long distance,large capacity and high speed in recent years.The traditional design method can not meet the needs of the development of belt conveyor. As electronic science and technology development, modern design method of CAD and CAE technology has more and more widely applied in conveyor design, it greatly shorten the design cycle, improve the design quality, reduce the design fees.Therefore,this paper analyzed and studied some of the key technology based on belt conveyor CAE technology of the modern design methods.This paper firstly established the mathematical model of belt through analysis of belt conveyor dynamic design theory.Then the dynamic system simulation software AMESIM is used to establish the dynamic simulation model of belt conveyor, and carried out dynamic simulation for belt conveyor in the condition of controlled start and full loads.Through simulation, the displacement of gravity take-up,the corresponding tension,speed and acceleration in the head which near the driving drum and tail of belt is obtained. The results show that the belt dynamic tension near the driving drum is the maximum.Through analyzing and contrasting the dynamic characteristic of conveyor belt under different start time,the study found the nonlinear chang rule of dynamic characteristics of belt conveyor with the growth of start time.This study provides an objective and simple method for dynamic analysis of belt conveyor.This paper analyzed the theoretical stress and deformation of driving drum and a period of belt which wrapped around it, then carried finite element anslysis for the driving drum and belt based on ANSYS.It firstly introduced the basic theory of finite element method and the analysis process of ANSYS software.It established a 3d model which belt and drum are frictional contacted so as to improve the traditional modeling method in ANSYS,so the conveyor belt has a correct tension before running.Finally we obtained the stress image and deformation figure of main components of drum as cylinder shell, web plate and shaft by analyzing analysis results of ANSYS.The results can solve some actual problems in belt conveyor driving drum design process,and provide a new model and method for further optimization design of drum.
