This thesis presents the development of IR thermal imaging measuring- temperature and the development of IR thermal imaging in simple, introduces the fundaments of radiation temperature measurement in detail, including IR source, radiation fundaments of blackbody and IR radiation fundaments of object and so on; and also the principle of operation, the basic technical parameters, the components of IR thermal imaging has been introduced. It has simply analysised that, under normal circumstances, the factor of impact upon IR thermal imager measuring-temperature accuracy.With analyzing the influence of temperature measuring accuracy in distance by IR thermal imaging, an experiment has been established. In matlab environment, the temperature between 293K and 373K has been measured in different sessions. The various sets of data were fitted by temperature - distance curve, and fitted error absolute temperature scale factor - distance curve, and the proportion of each factor in matlab total proportion of fitting a factor correction that applies to 293K to 373K error formula. Measuring data were analyzed, which indicated that the distance between the object and the infrared thermal imager certainly affected measuring-temperature accuracy. Finally, the data is fitted by matlab fitting program which is useful to error correction.
