The Distance Measuring Equipment is a short-range navigation device specified by ICAO.When used with VHF omnidirectional beacons,it can determine the position of the aircraft in the air,and the time of arrival.The aircraft can be navigated to any one of the range of ground station distances,avoiding busy airspace,saving fuel and flight time,etc.,thus completing effective area navigation.With the development of general aviation and domestic export-oriented military aircraft,the Distance Measuring Equipment has a large market demand and can bring considerable economic benefits.Based on the development requirements of our company's miniaturized airborne Distance Measuring Equipment,the company has carried out high-power and low-consumption amplifier design,power supply design,digital processing circuit design,etc.On the basis of the company's original,the Distance Measuring Equipment with small size and light weight,standard interface has been successfully developed.The detailed design of each component in the airborne Distance Measuring Equipment is described in this thesis.The main work and achievements are as follows:1.The airborne Distance Measuring Equipment system is analyzed.The basic functions of the Distance Measuring Equipment and the principle of ranging are introduced.The circuit design of the transceiver is described.It consists mainly of the transmitting circuit,the receiving circuit and the distance measuring and calculating circuit,and the design of the transceiver architecture is given.2.The overall design scheme of the transmitter and receiver is given.The system consists of two major functional modules: transmitter and receiver.The three-dimensional design of the structure and installation size is completed to ensure its maintainability and testability,the internal unit layout and the connection mode are optimized.The transmitter is composed of a power amplifier unit and a control unit.The receiver is composed of a receiving unit,information processing unit and a power unit.After the discussion and analysis of the functional unit implementation,the circuit and PCB design are completed.The information processing and solving part is realized by DSP+FPGA architecture,and the software code is completed.3.The miniaturized Distance Measuring Equipment is tested,and the debugging and testing schemes and methods are given.With the test and flight verification,this equipment can meet the system function and index requirements.The equipment is of many characteristics with light weight,small volume,low consumption of the power supply and standard interface.This equipment meet most needs of the current market.
