Urban mass transit (UMT) plays an important role in urban public traffic. Its safety is related to safety of life and property of people. Risk evaluation and management which are getting more and more attention in UMT are efficient method of reducing accident frequency and accident hazard. UMT is a complicated huge system. Vehicle is a very important factor which affects risk of UMT. In this thesis, overall evaluation method of technique risk of UMT operating vehicle is built using theory and method of risk evaluation of home and abroad.Main contents of thesis are as follows:1. Mechanisms and modes of failures of operating vehicle bogie are summarized and sorted systematically.2. In method of probability risk evaluation, method of Failure Mode & Effect Analysis and Fault Tree Analysis are used to analyze bogie faults of operating vehicle of Guangzhou UMT line 1 and build fault tree. Faults of wheelset such as flange wear, tread wear, tread shell, flange scratch, hollow-wear and wheel crack are evaluated.3. Basing on Analytic Hierarchy Process, Delphi method and theory of fuzzy mathematics, researching application of AHP in modeling of risk evaluation and application of Delphi method in collecting specialist data and application of fuzzy overall risk evaluation method of UMT operating vehicle.4. Flow chart of fuzzy risk evaluation algorithm is made. Software is redeveloped in Visual C developing environment.
