This thesis introduces a special inspection device aiming at solving the problem of inspecting locomotive speed sensor. On the basis of Power Electronic and the micro controller unit ,the device designs a speed adjusting system on direct current motor in which Pulse Witdth Modulation short for PWM control technology is used. The double closed control loop in motor control system are two feed-back control system.,they are speed feedback loop and current feedback loop.The two feedback loops satisfy the speediness,stability of the motor's speed adjusting request. Also,to realize the observeing data for the operator, the system uses single chip machine as the core controller. The control system uses LCD 12864,E~2PROM to serve as an interface between device and operator.In motor speed control system,we use SG3525 as the PWM pulse producer. Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) is used as power semiconductor on-off element in the motor control system.In the system, M57962 is used to drive and protect the IGBT. In the single chip machine contol system, this thesis uses two extended 8253 chips to realize five-channel pulse-counting function.They are one channel standard motor speed signal and four-channel speed sensor's pulse signals. In the data displaying aspect, the system uses single-color-graphics-lattice LCD 12864 as the displayer.As for the memory unit,the system uses E~2PROM with I~2C protocol to realize it.The system uses RS-232 serial communication technology to realize the communication between single chip microcomputer and PC.Finally,this thesis are divided into three parts in general.They are the motor contol system,the hardware of the single chip machine contol system and the software of the single chip microcomputer contol system and the PC.
