The development of electric vehicles is increasing concerned by countries all over the contemporary world. With the energy crisis and worsening pollution, the development of high-performance electric vehicles to replace the fuel vehicles has become an inevitable trend. The modern vehicles is full of complicated and varied function nodes, while develop a vehicle network system suited to the electric vehicles becomes one of the key technologies to it, and it's the absolutely necessarily taches to the development of electric vehicle.The main work in this thesis is to develop an electronic control system for the electric vehicle. Firstly, summaried the background and significance and the key technology of EV research, discussed the basic requirements of electronic control system of EV, compared the main features of several different vehicle network types. Considered the development actuality of the Switched Reluctance Motor Driver for EV, the thesis found that using CAN-bus is particularly suitable for this application occasions, and has outstanding advantages in structure, stability and reliability.Secondly, the thesis discussed the different CAN-bus structure characteristics, completed the EV electronic control system designing. The key work included the establishment of CAN network structure, the summaries of all control signals and inside control node modules, structuring and debugging various hardware circuit control unit, programming and debugging various control unit software procedures, the accessing from control unit to CAN networks and the achieving of networks communications.When the vehicle electronic control system passed all the basic functions of the laboratory tests, it was installed in a modified EV. After experiments on communications between different CAN controllers, the signal transmission inside the CAN bus achieves the requirements of real-time and stability.Finally, the thesis summed up the system functions, which has some reference value to the next step for the research and development of electronic control system for EV.
