Along with economy increasing and the level rising of people living in China, electricity load increased rapidly. Especially, the air-condition load greatly impacts the economical operation of power grid and the balance of electricity supply and demand. This thesis focuses on the relationship between power grid and temperature to unveil their internal relationship which may help us better know the characteristic of grid and may ultimately help us to effectively manage the peak air-condition load and to perform the DSM.This thesis takes a north city in china as an object. After a thorough analysis on the overall condition of this city's grid, it takes a quantitive analysis on grid load and temperature in chapter three. Being the pivot of this thesis, chapter four emphasizes on the relations between air-condition load and temperature. Then two methods are induced to estimate the maximum air-condition load, as the application, the air-condition load of A power grid is evaluated, the result of two methods can be checked each other, so the reliability of estimation can be improved. Because of the great correlation between air-condition load and temperature, the relative between the maximum air-condition load and maximal or mean temperature ,or index of body comfort, the effect of temperature is revealed by the relevant models, this study will be the fundament of managing the peak load in summer。Finally, according to the characteristic of the power grid of A area, some practical strategies are proposed to enhance the load management.In this study, theories are practical, and reflect the characteristic of power grid, the key points are discussed in detail. At the same time the paper provides decision-making base for electric power corporation to develop DSM and for other area in my country to study air-condition load, and presents an important reference to establish DSM measures.
